Balaurea is experiencing a rebirth!
With the new Aion: Shadows Over Balaurea update, players will be able to explore a brand new Balaurea, with new challenges around every corner. From new instances, such as the Altar of Ascension, to the introduction of new game systems and gear, Daevas will be in store for big changes throughout Balaurea as they continue their efforts to thwart the plans of the dastardly Stellin Industries. A New Balaurea
From changes to the Battlefield servers to siege battles, experience a complete change to how you will experience your time in Balaurea. Zones including Inggison, Gelkmaros, and Silentara Canyon are being updated to accommodate our high level Daevas while Lakrum and Demaha are being moved to the Battlefield servers to offer up opportunities to learn and grow in PvP while also participating in group PvP combat. With the updates to Inggison and Gelkmaros, siege battles will recommence at the Temple of Scales, Crimson Temple, Altar Avarice and Vorgaltem Citadel.
Challenging New Instances
Within the confines of Balaurea, discover new challenges and deadly new adversaries across a wide array of new instances. Travel to the Altar of Ascension and investigate the mystery behind the secret projects driven by Stellin Industries, or head into the Chaotic Vale to find the missing Inanna while fending off enemy players in this new PvP instance. If you are looking for something more challenging, head into the enhanced version of Infernal Drakenspire Depths and take on the new hard mode.
New Game Systems
While exploring what’s new and exciting in Balaurea, Daevas will now be able to gain Renown points and Renown levels, which will let them unlock access to new merchant items and even gain access to items that open rifts to other zones! The new update will also introduce gemstones and runestones used for enhancements while also showcasing new transformations, and powerful new gear and weapons unlike anything ever seen.
