PURPLE Launch Features

First up! BIG NEWS:
We have been hard at work on PURPLE and are excited to finally bring our new launcher to NCA Players on Tuesday, March 12th! We will soon release more details regarding the maintenance session required to migrate all player accounts and games to the new launcher. Please stay tuned!
If you have not prepared for the migration of your account yet, please check out our Migration Guide and head to our Discord if you have any questions or issues. You can head to #purple-chat, which is an entire channel dedicated to helping you with PURPLE migration questions.
Until then, let’s review some of the features available for our games when PURPLE goes live and some features we are exploring in the future.
Our first PURPLE introduction article revealed a full list of features, showing new ways to enjoy our games. Now that launch is almost here, we’re excited to show you which features will be live for Aion at launch. Let’s get into it:
General Features
‘Remember Me’ Log-in Options
Once you have successfully logged into PURPLE for the first time, you can ask it to remember your details, allowing you to quickly log in and get to playing.
Store Up To 10 Accounts
Have several accounts? Once you’ve logged into PURPLE, you can click “Sign in with a different account” and store up to 10 accounts total for easy access.
Character Profiles in Game Lobbies
Your most recently played character will show in the Lobby with helpful information.
Launcher Maintenance Countdown
Tired of looking on Twitter or Discord for the estimated maintenance duration? Purple will have a maintenance countdown feature that will show you when the expected maintenance session will end!
PURPLE Lounge
We are delighted to be launching PURPLE Lounge, a brand-new hub for finding game news and other related content in one centralized location. You will be able to access PURPLE Lounge via PC app, web, and PURPLE Mobile.
Lounge will offer a daily feed full of game news, announcements, event info, game webtoons, and more! We will be continuously updating and improving PURPLE Lounge. In the meantime, please share your opinions and content you would like to see on Discord!
PURPLE Talk
PURPLE Talk is PURPLE’s chat and voice service that works across the Desktop and Mobile apps. It allows you to chat, stream, or voice chat by connecting to any PLAYNC/PURPLE account or character accounts from Aion, Blade & Soul, Lineage II, or Lineage 2M.
All players will have the ability to use PURPLE Talk from two different kinds of profiles, PURPLE Profiles and Game Profiles. PURPLE Profiles are linked to your main account, while your Game Profile is linked directly to your game’s character. You can switch between certain accounts to use PURPLE Talk. This is helpful if you want to connect with players from other games.
All users will have the ability to send direct messages, create a Chat Room, or a House. In all of these communication channels, you can send text messages, voice chat, or share streams.
Chat Room – A single channel where multiple people can send text messages, voice chat, or share streams.
House – A House allows you to create and organize multiple text chat and voice channels. These are best created for clans, guilds, or a group of friends who want to build multiple organized rooms together.
Another great feature of PURPLE Talk is the ability to quickly find in-game players and invite them to your Chat Room or House. All installed games should give you the ability to search for certain players in the chosen game!
PURPLE Live
PURPLE Live allows you to share and stream any of your Apps or Screens through PURPLE Talk. You may also enable your microphone to also stream your voice alongside the screen sharing.
When you choose to go live, you can choose to stream to a specific Chat Room or House. If you choose to stream to a House, you can choose which channel you’d like your stream notification to appear on.
Once you are live, a stream notification will appear in the channel you have chosen! If more than one person is live, multiple streams will show in the notification tab!
Once you are streaming, there are several options, including the ability to share via URL. By sharing a URL link to your stream, you can invite other PURPLE users to your stream. All viewers must log into PURPLE to view the stream.
Aion Only Launch Updates
With the transition to PURPLE, we are excited to bring all our games together under one platform. With this new change, we will be rebranding Aion Retail to Aion Live to better match the rest of our games that also have ‘Live’ Servers. This change will be reflected across our websites and Discord.
The Black Cloud Market will also be going through a refresh!

- Live Server Black Cloud Marketplace Refresh
Black Cloud Coin will be retired and converted to NCoin and can now be used across all NCA games.
This also means that the Black Cloud Market on the Retail (Live) server will go through a refresh, get a new look, and will now have items available in USD (Mixed payment NCoins + USD).
We have also removed unpopular items (for easier navigation) but these items will also be available in the future during seasonal store updates

The Black Cloud Marketplace will be removed but Quna purchases and Siel's Aura Purchases will be available in Quna Shop.
